Five elements-Harmonizing:

In TCM, calamus is warm in nature (belonging to Yang), with a fragrant qi entering the Heart Meridian and belonging to Heart Fire; it resuscitates to unblock stagnation, warms and circulates heart qi, balances Heart Fire with Lung Metal and Spleen Earth, and helps harmonize Yin-Yang and Five Elements.

I Ching

Sweet flag has the functions of opening orifices, resolving phlegm, refreshing the mind, improving intelligence, and promoting digestion. Its growth characteristics and functions correspond to the Zhen Gua. In the Zhen Gua, one yang moves beneath two yins, just like the sweet flag germinating in spring, bringing vitality and new changes.

Geomancy

With leaves like swords, calamus symbolizes defense in feng shui and can expel evil spirits to ensure peace. Placed at the door or wealth corner, it can ward off negative forces, attract wealth, and promote family harmony and fortune.
