Five elements-Harmonizing:

In TCM, mugwort is warm in nature (belonging to Yang), fragrant in qi, enters Liver, Spleen and Kidney Meridians, and belongs to Liver Wood and Spleen Earth; it warms meridians, dispels cold and dampness, balances Liver-Spleen imbalance, and promotes smooth operation of Yin-Yang and Five Elements.

I Ching 

Mugwort is warm in nature and has pure yang power, capable of expelling evil and strengthening the positive, warming and nourishing the body and mind. Among the 64 hexagrams in the I Ching, it most corresponds to the Li Gua. The Li Gua has fire above and below. Fire has the properties of warmth and brightness, just like the pure yang quality of mugwort, which can dispel the haze.
